Offensive and defensive passives have been speculated, but I could see them doing any number of things to these classes. Recon characters will all likely be able to access the survey beacons like Pathfinder. I expect to see Loba with the ability to open these blue bins also as it will become the support class passive. The biggest indicator of this change is Lifeline's new blue bin passive. An easy buff to make Octane a better legend would be increasing his base speed and stim speed to just make him the fastest character on the map, as he should be.Ĭharacter class passives - A rumor has been going around for a while saying that the character classes (offensive, defensive, support, and recon) will be getting passives. Once Mirage is buffed to God-tier, Octane will be left as the new bottom of the legend totem pole. However, I could also see a small buff to Octane's abilities this season also. Octane hitbox fix and buff - Octane's hitbox is wack so I fully expect modifications to his hitbox to make it more in line with his character model. I think an ultimate that solidifies Lifeline as the true combat medic of the game is much needed because currently she is just a weaker version of Gibraltar (who can fast heal and fast revive under his dome) and Loba (who can provide that sweet, sweet purple armor). My best prediction would be an ability like we saw in the Dummies Big Day event. Loba's passive and ultimate abilities replace Lifeline's care package in the meta, so I expect us to see an ultimate rework for Lifeline this season. Lifeline buff - As mentioned above, Lifeline's care package no longer has any value to the team. I'm not going to break down her abilities because the trailer does that pretty well already, but I will say that her abilities make another legend's ultimate (cough, cough, Lifeline) incredibly obsolete and in need of modifications. With her introduction trailer's release today we have a clear idea of Loba's in-game abilities and how she is going to change the game. Loba - Okay, yes this an obvious one, but we can't talk about meta changes without talking about the new legend, Loba. I expect us to see the mag size or damage of the Havoc reduced to better balance the weapon, but hopefully it isn't nerfed so much that it's no longer worth picking up.

With a large mag size, high damage, and the easiest recoil to control in the game is is a weapon that you have to grab when you find it on the ground. Havoc nerf - It's no secret that the Havoc is an incredibly unbalanced and powerful weapon. We can expect to see a buff this season for Mirage as confirmed by a Respawn dev. The feeling of bamboozling another player is unparalleled. Mirage rework/buff - Mirage is currently the worst legend in the game, but arguably one of the most popular for his in-game personality and play style. Also I will not be discussing map changes because we've all seen the gameplay trailer and there's not much more that I can hypothesize about the map beyond what we've already been shown. I'm going to break down changes that we can look for tomorrow into three categories: changes definitely coming, changes possibly coming, and changes that I would like to see implemented, but probably wont be coming in Season 5.ĭisclaimer: The majority of these are hunches and opinions, many of them are unconfirmed and only rumored. This season I foresee legends and weapons changing more than ever before. With Season 5 I think the meta of the game is going to change drastically from that of previous seasons. With Season 5 one day away, I wanted to make a post about changes that we could see to the meta of the game tomorrow.
